As the 2024 election nears its conclusion, attention will soon shift to the crucial question: who will manage the transfer of power? A presidential transition team is tasked with ensuring a smooth handover, coordinating appointments, and preparing the groundwork for the new administration’s success. In Trump’s case, this team will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of U.S. policy and the president’s political future. In the second part of this series, I will delve into the key cabinet positions and provide my recommendations for who I would like to see fill these roles.

What is a Transition Team?
A transition team is formed immediately after the election to help a newly elected president take control of the government. The team is responsible for organizing the logistics of the changeover, planning policy shifts, filling key appointments, and ensuring coordination with the outgoing administration. Its ultimate goal is to ensure that the incoming president can govern smoothly from Day 1. With only a short window between election day and inauguration, every move counts.
